Lights, Laughter, and Holiday Wonder Await!
Step into a world of twinkling lights, cozy moments, and holiday magic at Holiday Wonders at the Garden, presented by Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW). From November 28 through December 30, the Memphis Botanic Garden transforms into a winter wonderland with glowing trails, themed evenings, and plenty of festive fun for all ages. Whether you’re here for a family outing, a romantic date night, or a night out with friends, every visit promises merry memories waiting around every corner.
This year, the wonder expands deeper into the Garden with the debut of Polar Passage, an immersive new experience in The Woodland where glowing trails transport you to a breathtaking holiday realm. Guests can also cozy up by glowing firetables, sip seasonal drinks, and explore added interactive play opportunities. Plus, new this year, a mobile web app with an interactive GPS map, FAQs, and festive surprises makes it easier than ever to navigate the magic.
Food trucks will be on-site nightly, with a rotating mix of favorites like Say Cheese, Good Groceries Mobile Diner, Snowbirds Sweets & Treats, and Hot-n-Heavy Dogs. Pair your meal with hot chocolate, cider, or a holiday cocktail from the bar. From Santa Sundays and Paw-liday Wonders to whimsical theme nights like Let It Glow and Happy Hula-Days, there’s something for everyone to discover. Holiday Wonders at the Garden isn’t just an event; it’s a Memphis holiday tradition.
Kick off your holiday season with a sprinkle of magic! Santa makes his grand debut under the Northern Lights to welcome families into this year’s glowing Garden wonderland.
Gather ‘round the glowing firepits and warm up your winter night. Toast marshmallows (s’mores kits available for purchase) and sip something sweet as the Garden sparkles all around you.
The big guy himself is back! Meet Santa under the lights, share your wishlist, and make sure your name stays firmly on the “nice” list.
Furry friends deserve holiday magic too! Bring your pups for a tail-wagging stroll among the lights. Santa will even be checking his “nice list” twice for good boys and girls of the four-legged variety.
Don your sparkliest tiara or crown and twirl beneath the shimmering Magic Snowfall. Special guests Elsa and Anna will be on hand for frosty fun and photo-ready moments.
Pull on your coziest pajamas and wander the twinkling trails. Plus don’t miss storytime sessions at 6 and 7 pm and an evening of holiday cheer, it’s the ultimate family night before the big holiday rush.
Swap snowflakes for palm trees at this tropical twist on holiday cheer! Sip a festive island-inspired drink, tour the Tropical Plant House, and enjoy surprises that will leave you saying “mele kalikimaka.” A special thank you to 4FDesign for making Happy Hula-Days possible.
Shine brighter than the lights! Dress in glow sticks, light-up sweaters, or sparkling accessories and become part of the show. Enjoy an LED hoop show and let it glow!
It’s National Ugly Sweater Day! Flaunt your most festive, tacky, or outrageous knit and light up the Garden with laughter and color.
The season doesn’t stop after Christmas. Cozy up to glowing firepits, toast marshmallows, sip seasonal cocktails, and savor the sparkle as we countdown to the new year.
All of our light displays are viewable from our main accessible pathways and are within a 1/4 mile of our Visitors Center.
Please note some activity areas are on potentially soft grass & muddy areas.
We have a few push-chair wheelchairs that are available to guests. They are first-come, first-serve, and are free of charge. Simply ask admission staff if one is available for use.
Holi-Date Night (21+) is December 4! This elevated 21+ holiday event includes specialty cocktails, seasonal activities, and more.
Alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages and snack-type options will be available for purchase.

The bars & concession areas do NOT accept cash. Credit/debit cards are accepted at the bar & concessions stands.

Parking and entry for Holiday Wonders at the Garden is through our Visitors Center. As needed, we will open our overflow parking lot with shuttle service. Parking is free.
Present your digital or printed ticket(s) for entry during your selected entry time. Please note that due to capacity limitations, we may not be able to accommodate entry outside of your selected time.
Last entry is 7:30 pm. Once inside the Garden, you can stay until closing at 8:30 pm.
Pets are only allowed for our special Paw-liday Wonders evening on December 11.
Guests are welcome to take photographs and videos of the exhibit for personal use during their visit.

Tickets are sold by date and entry time. Entry times will sell out. Once inside the Garden, you can stay until closing.

Santa Claus is only at the Garden on select evenings. This year he will be on-site on November 28, December 7, 11, 14, and 21. Attendees are welcome to take pictures with Santa during their visit on these evenings.
Strollers & wagons are welcome!
Holiday Wonders at the Garden is an outdoor experience. In the event of inclement weather, we will make any necessary decisions about canceling the event on the day of. Check our social media on the day of your visit for any updates. In the event of a weather cancellation, you can reschedule to another night.
