Gift a legacy to the community.

The Heirloom Society

There is no greater honor you can bestow than the heirloom of your generosity. The Heirloom Society allows donors the unique opportunity to gift a legacy to the community – one that connects people to nature and our environment.

A Legacy Rooted at the Garden

Individuals who have included the Memphis Botanic Garden Foundation, Inc. in their estate plans become members of The Heirloom Society. This program, established in 2022, gives the Garden the opportunity to acknowledge thoughtful giving toward the future of the Garden.

Benefits of Heirloom Society membership include:

  • A distinctive lapel pin
  • An invitation to our annual Heirloom Evening
  • Pride in the knowledge that you will be supporting the Garden and its mission well into the future.

Further, it is our intention that your bequest will be added to our endowment to ensure your legacy to the community makes a difference for generations to come.

"2023 marks our 70th anniversary as Memphis' premier Garden. Whether for horticulture, special events, outdoor entertainment, or youth education, the 96 acres of Memphis Botanic Garden have served generations of our citizens, and with your help will continue to serve generations more.

I ask that you consider becoming a member of our Heirloom Society by designating a portion of your estate to the Memphis Botanic Garden; future generations of Memphians will benefit from both your foresight and your generosity."
