Photography Policy

See It Through Your Lens

Guests are welcome to take photographs and videos of the Garden for personal use, however personal photo shoots, including engagement photos, wedding/bridal photos, and family portraits using any professional equipment must be scheduled in advance and requires a fee.

Professional photographers and videographers may pay an annual membership fee for photography shoots at the Garden. This membership also acts as a Family Membership. Click here to learn more about becoming a Photography Member.

If not a Photography Member, the fee for a one-time photo session is $175, which includes one photographer or videographer, one assistant, and a maximum of ten individuals (each additional individual must pay full price admission).

RESERVATION REQUEST

Thank you for your interest in a photoshoot at the Garden!

To request a photoshoot at the Garden, please email photography@membg.org with your name, email, phone number, whether or not you are a photography member, the number of individuals in your party, preferred date & time, second choice date & time, and any additional comments.

Please note your email is a REQUEST only. Once this request is submitted, we will email you a response within 72 hours.

Garden Photography & Video Policies

All shoots must be scheduled in advance by emailing photography@membg.org. You will receive a response within 72 hours.
All photographers and videographers are required to check-in at the Front Desk.
Respect the Garden. Do not step in flower beds, pick flowers, climb trees, or move structures or containers. Attaching materials to Garden structures, trees, or plants is strictly prohibited.
Respect the reserved areas of others engaging in special events, such as a wedding or birthday party, as well as our Garden visitors.
The Garden is a public facility, therefore dress for models and photo subjects must meet acceptable community standards.
For an additional fee, small rooms may be rented for use as changing rooms. Restrooms may not be used for this purpose. The rental of these rooms must be scheduled in advance.
Memphis Botanic Garden is not responsible for any loss or damage to equipment.

MBG reserves the right to charge an additional $25 for unscheduled photography shoots and reserves the right to refuse shoots based upon its event schedule.
The Rose Garden and Blecken Pavilion are off-limits for photo/video shoots when they are reserved for events, including weddings, rehearsals, receptions, etc. When you check in at the Front Desk upon arrival, please inquire about any restricted areas during your visit.
No animals (other than service animals), balloons, motorized vehicles (except when medically necessary), drones, artificial flowers/foliage, confetti, bubbles, rice, birdseed, sparklers, smoke bombs, or fireworks are allowed. List subject to additions and changes at any time for any reason.
It is the sole responsibility of the photographer/videographer to ensure that assistants and clients follow these rules.

Non-compliance with these rules may result in forfeiture of the annual or one-time fee and future photography/video privileges.
