“My delight is in Color and Light shed upon the day. Traveling Europe I had the opportunity to view many of the old masters, an experience that was to influence my career. Tho a novice , self taught, I began to study with Fred Rawlinson in 2003. A member of Memphis Germantown Art League, I have participated in many exhibitions Winter Juried, Star Artist Juried etc. Not to forget, the members of Fred Rawlinson’s class were involved in the Celebration of Graceland and were allowed to tour Elvis’ estate and paint scenes of our choice to be hung here in Memphis Botanic Garden Gallery . Drawing is the underpinnings of art, so to begin I draw twice and paint once. I work fast and finish with line work, take days to review the painting and sometimes add either color or more line.”
