"The Natural World" Art Exhibition by Libby Anderson

July 2-30. On view in the Visitors Center.

There will be a reception July 10 from 3-4:30 pm.

“Often artists have a hard time coming up with an idea of what to paint. That has never been a problem for me. From my earliest memories I filled up every piece of paper I could with drawings of costumes from the C volume of World Book Encyclopedia or things around me in my house. As I got older the natural world drew me in. I have visited gardens locally and around the country and they have provided me with an endless supply of subject matter. I paint flowers and plants because they give me such a joyful emotional response. I am hoping the viewer will feel that joy as they see the exhibit.”
