Grow in your knowledge at this relaxed, come-as-you-are series all about gardening. Each Sunday class explores a different seasonal topic, ranging from pruning and spring plant prep to rose care, planting for pollinators, and tree identification. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced gardener, these informal, hands-on sessions are a great way to learn, ask questions, and connect with fellow garden lovers. Make sure you dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes!

March 1: Learn the essentials of pruning. This comprehensive class walks you through choosing the right tools, proper tool care (including sharpening), and the timing and techniques essential for effective pruning. If you have pruners at home, bring them along to sharpen and use during the class.

April 26: Spring is here, and we are talking all about prepping and planting your garden. This class will cover in-ground and raised-bed prep, picking your soil and amendments, plus some suggestions and ideas on what to grow this year.

May 24: Curious about growing your own roses? Delve into the fundamentals of rose care in this beginner’s class, covering planting, watering, feeding, and pruning techniques.

June 14: Embrace the heat and learn how to help your garden thrive in the upcoming hot months. From heat-hardy vegetable suggestions to tips on effective watering and weeding, this class will give you the knowledge on how to best care for your garden.

July 12: Take a walk and see our recommendations for planting for local pollinators and wildlife. This class will cover the basic principles of attracting native pollinators to your garden through strategic plant selections.
