Pruning Hydrangeas with Robin Howell

Ever wonder why your hydrangeas never bloom? You may be cutting them back at the wrong time of year. Join the Curator of the Japanese Garden, Robin Howell, to learn how different hydrangeas require different pruning techniques and timing. This class will require considerable walking as the demonstrations will take place in three different gardens. Meet in the Horticulture Building, dress for the weather, and wear comfortable walking shoes. Optional: bring your sharp pruners if you would like to practice what you have learned. Class size is limited, register early.
