“I was born in Phenix City, Alabama, and I’ve drawn and painted since I was sixteen. I consider myself self-taught, originally working with watercolor and pen and ink throughout high school. My serious focus on my art began after a long career in banking and my retirement in 2006. I now paint in acrylic for the most part and enjoy my creative process more than ever. My subject matter varies widely…old barns, fences, beach scenes, boats, florals, still lifes…and my inspiration comes from my Southern roots…having lived all my life in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. I have a love of the nostalgic.”
