Metalsmithing: Spinner and Stacker Ring

Join jewelry artist Brandy Boyd in this adults-only class and learn to make a set of stacking rings in multiple metals and a sterling silver spinner ring. This class is perfect for beginners as all the basics will be covered (including soldering). If you have the following tools, please bring them: Micro butane torch and fire brick, hammers, jewelry files, and pliers (tools will be available for shared use in class, as well as some for purchase). You will be able to purchase a kit with all materials for $50 (tax included) payable to the instructor at class time (cash or credit card). Your kit will include a sterling silver sheet for the base ring band, silver, copper, and bronze wires for the spinners and stackers, solder, polishing materials, handout, and use of all the tools needed to complete the project. We will have a variety of hammers available for texture, but you’re also welcome to bring any of your own favorites for use. We will have flux, patina, and tumbling provided as shared resources.
