Group Therapy Exhibition Featuring Works by Phyllis Boger, Alisa Free, and Amy Hutcheson

“Line, space, and color are what is considered when you are creating a work of art, but these elements are also indispensable when it comes to cultivating friendships. Line draws us together, offers direction, and support. Space is what people and paintings need to breath, grow, and add depth. Color is that spark that draws you in, comforts you, jars you, or can bring you joy while looking at art or being with your friends. Alisa, Phyllis, and Amy bring the line, space, and color not just into their work, but into their ever-growing and supportive friendship. They hold each other up when it is needed, offering the space and open-heartedness to allow them to become the artists they want to become and try to bring color and joy that continues to lift us up.

“Group Therapy,” was a bit of a joke title at first, but the more we considered the roll each of us plays in our lives, creatively and personally, the title works.”
