Fantastical Fairy Houses with Rebecca Ziemer

April 23, 1-4 pm.

Make your own fairy house for your garden! Becky Zee will teach you the basics of ceramic work (pinch pot and slab construction) to build the foundation, and then will move on to demonstrate proper techniques for cutting windows and doors, attaching trim, adding chimneys, creating texture, and adding detail. After you are done, you’ll be provided with a rainbow’s assortment of clay paints to add the finishing touches. All skill levels are welcome. Kids 10 years and older are welcome with a parent or adult helper. All creations will be given a food-safe, dishwasher-proof clear glaze and fired off site. Finished gnomes will be brought back to MBG for pickup two weeks after the class.

Class fee includes all materials and use of any tools needed to bring your creation to life. All YOU need to bring is your imagination (and please, wear your play-clothes). $57 MBG Members/$68 Non-Members. Click to register by April 19.
