The Memphis Botanic Garden is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to being an exemplary center for horticulture and environmental enrichment. Serving over 40,000 school-aged children annually, and hosting over 260,000 visitors each year, Memphis Botanic Garden strives to enhance lives by connecting people with nature, increasing awareness and appreciation of our environment. Gifts of any size support the Garden’s operations, educational programs and outreach, horticultural displays and collections, and art programming.

Spread the Love

Memphis Botanic Garden staff members have planted thousands of bulbs in preparation for this year’s spectacular spring flower display. You can support this labor of love with a donation in honor of your valentine, and we’ll mails your special someone a unique card to let them know they make your heart bloom!

$20 sends 1 Valentine to the recipient you designate
$50 sends 3 Valentines to your recipients
$100 sends 8 Valentines to your recipients

If you have any questions or would like to make a Valentine’s Day contribution by phone, please call 901-636-4100. For expected delivery before February 14 please make your donation no later than February 1.

Make a Donation

We grow when you give! Please help us continue to serve as a community resource with a contribution to the Memphis Botanic Garden. Gifts of any size help us remain open, viable, and growing and enable us to serve over 40,000 school children annually as well as the greater Memphis community through programming, events, and horticultural features. Your contribution helps us nurture our 96 acres of natural beauty and share this resource with future generations.

Honorarium &
Memorial Giving

Memorials and honorariums are wonderful ways to honor a loved one while helping the Garden accomplish our mission. These funds are used to care for our 96 acres of grounds and to keep the Garden growing. We will send a card to your designated recipient or family letting them know that a gift has been made in their honor or memory. Memorial and honorarium donations start at $20.

Plant Donations

The 30 specialty gardens on our grounds are carefully curated spaces that utilize well-thought-out horticultural design. As such, we have a limited ability to accept donations of live plant matter.

If you believe you have a specimen that may be appropriate for our living collection please fill out the form below, and we will reach out if we are interested.

Student Scholarships

Our Education Department serves over 40,000 students annually. Your scholarship donations help broaden our reach and serve those teachers who request programming but cannot afford it due to lack of funding. Scholarships start at $100.

Garden Benches

A select number of benches are available for honorariums and memorials. Benches include labels with an inscription noting both the donor and honoree. Bench placement is based on donor preference but location is not guaranteed. Benches range from $3,500-10,000.

Garden Plantings

There are a number of display beds and seasonal plantings throughout the Garden that can be sponsored each year. A select group of trees and shrubs are also available for honorariums and memorials. Garden plantings start at $500.
