Jennifer Williams
“I am a lifelong Memphian and, like many of us, found an untapped passion during the covid lock-down. I discovered watercolor. As a child, I spent countless hours with my grandmother, who taught me to see the magic in nature. She showed us the little king who sat inside a violet when you gently pulled back the petals, the way little flowers we called touch-me-nots popped open when we picked them, and how to build a magic fort in the garden. Her love for being in nature continues to guide my work and spirit.
My art celebrates small wonders: a child at the shoreline, the gentle curve of a vegetable, the softness of southern skies. These moments carry memory, tenderness, and the quiet joy I hope to share with others.
My paintings are both a tribute to the natural world and a love letter to the woman who first showed me how to truly see it.”
Leigh Anne Sandlin
“Leigh is a local artist and a graduate of the Memphis College of Art. Leigh loves bright, bold colors and incorporates these in her paintings through many different mediums. For 25 years, she taught and shared these with her students in California. After returning to Tennessee, she built a studio on the family farm in Rosemark and continues to teach and paint. Leigh is influenced by the landscape, local gardens, and her many travels abroad.
Some of her mediums include encaustic, cold wax, oil, cyanotype, intaglio, and linoleum printing. Many of her pieces are collages and incorporate printmaking techniques with cyanotype, encaustic, and cold wax.
Leigh has been married for 41 years and has two sons and two grandchildren(ages 2 and 8), whom she spends all of her time.”
Heather Howle
“Heather is a Memphis-based artist specializing in mixed media painting and collage. Self-taught from a young age, she has always been compelled to create, leaving behind a career in commercial aviation to pursue art full-time. Her work focuses on the relationship between pattern and color, while being light and airy. It maintains a quality of mystery.”
